Inspired by wild sea botanicals and small Hebridean crofts, Downpour Coast & Croft is made with hand gathered island botanicals that you can taste in every drop.

Pepper dulse seaweed is harvested from North Uist's rocky shores at low tide and distilled into a concentrate before being blended with a distillate of specially selected botanicals, including hand-picked wild thyme. Each batch is named after the part of the island the seaweed is harvested from.

TASTING NOTES - Fresh green herb tones lead on the nose with a rich base of juniper. On the palate, citrus and that wonderfully moreish umami of pepper dulse create a finish that is long and elegant.

Downpour Gin

North Uist Distillery – based in Scotland’s Outer Hebrides - was founded in 2019 by Jonny Ingledew and Kate Macdonald, a local couple who returned to the island on which they’d grown up with the aim of starting a distillery that would showcase Uist’s outstanding natural ingredients and provide local employment. The distillery now employs over a dozen people and every aspect of production, from the selecting of ingredients to the bottling and packaging, is done in-house
